ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Zahid Khokhar, a Pakistan Customs Service officer of BS-21, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR, Islamabad, with immediate effect and until further orders.
The officer, who is presently posted as Member (Customs), will also hold the additional charge of his current post i.e. Member (Customs), Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad.
Muhammad Zahid had assumed the charge of the post of Member Customs on February 25, 2017. Before this, he had taken charge as Chief Collector of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi on August 4, 2015 after relinquishing the charge of the post Collector, Customs Wing, Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement, Lahore on August 3, 2015. He promoted from BS-20 to BS-21 with effect from June 18, 2015.
The officer also gave his services as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Faisalabad with effect from August 12, 2013.
Zahid Khokhar relinquished the charge of the post of Director, Directorate of Customs Post Clearance Audit, Lahore on March 07, 2012 and assumed the charge of the post of Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Lahore with effect from March 7, 2012.
Zahid was also posted as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Quetta in year 2011, and was made Director, Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA), Lahore on October 3, 2011.
The officer had been working as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Sambrial, Sialkot in year 2011, when he was transferred and posted as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Quetta.
According to the FBR notification issued on Tuesday, the officer, if drawing performance allowance, will continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting. He has been asked to relinquish/assume charge, using online HRMS facility made available to FBR or by using his IJP login.
It is pertinent to mention here that Federal Board of Revenue on October 29 transferred Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation Director General Shaukat Ali and posted him as Member at Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad.
Iram Maqbool Aamir, a BS-20 officer of Pakistan Customs Service and currently posted as Director, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation, was assigned to look after the charge of DG I&I in addition to her own duties.
