MOSCOW: A meeting of heads of veterinary services of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan on the illegal movement of controlled goods through the customs union took place in Moscow recently. Veterinary Service of Kazakhstan is ready to discuss issues of concern related to the transportation of goods within the customs union with the competent authorities of Belarus and Russia, said the press service of the ministry of agriculture of Kazakhstan November 28.The Kazakh Ministry said that in Kazakhstan accounting and analysis of cargo flows of the controlled production is carried out in the information system Unified automated control system which is integrated with the Russian information system Argus.
The ministry said that the matter rests in the illegal movement of contraband goods by unscrupulous entrepreneurs, that is, in fact, an economic crime, when all the loads are moved without any accompanying documents. The parties discussed the prerequisites for the development of shadow schemes of illegal entry and movement of animal products.
Such discussions should take place within the framework of the fundamental principles of the Customs Union. Ministry of agriculture of Kazakhstan refuses to participate in tripartite cooperation the prohibition of transit of products from Belarus, which are subject for the Russian embargo through Russia without inspection at the Russian border checkpoints.Kazakhstan does not accept our system (of control) and does not intend to participate in the negotiations of this format, said Trofimova. We regard this position as an unwillingness to make concessions.She said that the meeting with the Belarusian side will be held next week and Rosselkhoznadzor expects that Kazakh colleagues will not remain aside from the negotiations.
