KARACHI: Five ships planned to load/offload containers, phosphoric acid and cement, including C.V Spirit of Mumbai, C.V Tessa, M.V Orand Pioneer, C.V CMA CGM Florida and M.T SC stealth are expected on lake berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal November 20, 2014.
Five ships C.V CMA CGM Lamartine, C.V Moersk Atlanta, M.I Fong Hai-33, M.T Qem Slar and M.V Virginia carrying containers, 18,500 tons palm oil,3,041 tones chemicals and 48.517 tons wheat were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Crain and Fertilizer Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Wednesday, 19th November 2014.
Whereas four ships arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours, to load/offload containers, cement, phosphoric acid and diesel oil.
Berth occupancy remained at 50 percent at the port on Wednesday, where eight ships are currently vacating PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement. palm oil, sunflowers seeds, wheat, and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours. namely C.V CMA CGM Tamaline, C.V Maersk Atlanta, M.V lkan Prang, M.V Amber Champion, M.V Sea luck II, M.V Virginia, M.T Feng Hai-33 and M.T Qem Star Cargo throughout during last 24 hours stood at 94,440 tons, comprises 36,414 tones imports and 58,026 tones exports inclusive containerised cargo carried in 3,021 containers (TEUs) (1,234 imports and 1,787 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours. Container vessel ‘CMA CCM Lamartinge’ sailed out to sea on Thursday morning while three more ships M.T Qem Star ,C.V Maersk Atianta, and M.V Ikan Prang are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
