WASHINGTON: The United States Lancaster County deputies seized nearly 100 pounds of marijuana worth almost $500,000 in a routine traffic stop.
LSO said they stopped Lyndy Norman, of University Place, Washington, near mile marker 398 on Interstate-80 for following too close. Deputies said they could smell pot in the car. A search of the vehicle led them to nine garbage bags containing 97.45 pounds of pot. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said that is a retail market value of $487,000.
Norman was jailed for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
