On Dec. 3, agents patrolling near a local ranch in Eagle Pass apprehended Julio Cesar Caceres-Paz, 33, a previously deported Salvadoran national. During processing, agents discovered that Caceres-Paz was a convicted sex offender. Records revealed Caceres-Paz was convicted in Harris County in 2011 for indecency with a child. Caceres-Paz was sentenced to three years confinement and subsequently deported in 2013.
Caceres-Paz faces a charge of illegal re-entry after deportation – 8 USC § 1326 – which carries a possible sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
