KARACHI: The Patron-in-Chief of United Business Group, S M Muneer, said that executives and members of the United Business Group will not accept any political pressure. People sitting on two boats decide to whom they support. The opponent group has seen their clear defeat so it will be better to avoid blames.
This was stated by him addressing at a dinner reception hosted in honour of Mian Mohammad Idress, presidential candidate of the FPCCI from the United Business Group, by famous social personality and Chairman of APJC Mohammad Yahya Polani. On the occasion, Mian Zahid Hussain, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Khalid Tawab, Abdul Rahim Jano, Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Ijaz Khokhar also addressed while Zubair Tufail, Mehtabuddin Chawla, Rafiq Suleman, Sardar Yasin Malik, Javed Ali Ghori, Noor Ahmed Khan and others were present.
S M Muneer said the candidate for the FPCCI presidential election of the Opponent Group, Anjum Nisar, has time now and after viewing present situation, he will surrender in favour of Mian Idrees as United Business Group has support of more than 90 percent chambers and associations. He said the United Business Group has no link with any political party. UBG is a party of businessmen and we know how to reply to the opponent group.
The UBG candidate for FPCCI President, Mian Mohammad Idrees, said there was no representation of FPCCI at the government level while the Indian Federation has very active role in economic development. He said the Indian government works after consultation with the Indian Federation and it has best institution for resolving the issues of businessmen while the Federation of Pakistan has lost its recognition from the last several years. He said that he would try to fulfil the confidence of core committee and businessmen and he would also reply on work done after completion of one year term.
UBG Leader Mian Zahid Hussain said that Executive members of United Business Group would resolve the real issue of businessmen instead of issuing SRO for personal vanity after success in the election and they would play their active role for the reputation of FPCCI and revival of economy of the country.
Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said that FPCCI has getting fame for corruption in past but now, all works would be done on merit. He said that businessmen of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa want a change and waves of change is going on and nobody could stop it.
