WASHINGTON: U.S. Bank clients now can manage their card programs around the world through a single platform. Previously managing card programs in other countries that were sourced through U.S. Bank could mean a separate platform for each bank or region, said U.S. Bank global bankcard general manager Jeff Rankin.
The unified platform is powered by Visa IntelliLink Spend Management platform. Available in 30 countries and 17 currencies, it allows clients to perform such tasks as adding or deleting accounts, managing merchant codes and increasing credit limits. The new partnership also expands customer service from English to 19 more languages. “The individual cards may be serviced by the local card issuer in that country or region, but we’re managing the overall program, doing a single contract throughout the world, underwriting the process, setting the credit limit and negotiating the pricing and terms,” Rankin said.
