COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Customs officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake have arrested two Sri Lankan women, who were attempting to smuggle gold jewellery worth Rs 40 million. The women had arrived in a flight from Dubai early this morning (13) with the gold strapped around the waist.
According to the Customs officials the gold items weighing 7.8 kilograms are worth Rs. 40 million. Further investigations are underway.
