ISTANBUL: Turkey’s unemployment rate stood at 12.6 percent in the January-March period, falling from a seven-year high of 13 percent a month earlier but up from 10.9 percent the previous year, data from the statistics institute showed on Monday. The non-agricultural unemployment rate stood at 14.8 percent during the first quarter, up from 12.7 percent a year earlier, the data showed. The youth unemployment rate rose to 23.3 percent from 18.6 percent the previous year.
