ISTANBUL: Turkey’s trade deficit widened 37.5 percent last year to $77.06 billion, data from the Customs and Trade Ministry showed on Tuesday.
In 2017, exports rose 10.2 percent to $157.09 billion and imports climbed 17.9 percent to $234.16 billion, the data showed.
In December the trade deficit was up 71.4 percent year-on-year to $9.57 billion, with exports rising 8.6 percent to $13.88 billion and imports up 27.7 percent to $23.45 billion.
