A new Radisson Blu has opened on the Black Sea in Trabzon, Turkey. The 162-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Trabzon is located in Boztepe, bringing Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio to 21 hotels in the country.
“We’re excited to open our first Radisson Blu in Trabzon and grow the presence of Europe’s largest upper-upscale hotel brand on the northeast coastline of Turkey,” said Tim Cordon, area SVP, Middle East, Turkey and Africa for Radisson Hotel Group, in a statement. “Trabzon has traditionally held a strategic position on the coast of the Black Sea—a location that made it a famous trading port, especially on the old Silk Road. We hope to contribute to this rich heritage.”
Situated in Boztepe, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Trabzon is at the heart of an area of ancient religious significance and the site of four major sacred fountains. The hotel is 2 kilometers from the city center and 7 kilometers from Trabzon Airport.
The hotel’s signature dining experience includes two restaurants: Kolcuoglu and Queen. Kolcuoglu serves Turkish kebab specialties, like the Adana kebab, while Queen is an international à la carte restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The meeting facilities include five conference rooms and a ballroom capable of hosting over 1,200 persons. The ballroom space also can be divided into two rooms. The five meeting rooms have natural daylight, audio-visual equipment and individual climate control.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Trabzon is operated by Radisson Hospitality AB under an international license agreement.
