ISLAMABAD: A special tribunal of customs has completed hearing in the smuggling of 23 kg of gold.
The decision will be announced next week. Peshawar-based trader Haji Hanaan had claimed that he owned the gold.
Customs officials had searched the baggage of a passenger coming out of Green Channel over suspicion and recovered 23 kg of gold. The claimant said that the gold was imported through the customs entrustment scheme. People are allowed to carry gold in a bag under the scheme. Justice Tariq heard the case.
