ISLAMABAD: A group of trainee officers of the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) from 44th Specialised Training Programme (STP), currently undergoing training at the Directorate General of Training & Research (Inland Revenue) Lahore, has visited FBR House as part of a study tour.
The visiting trainee officers were given a detailed briefing about the working and structure of FBR, its field formations, taxation system and other service-related and professional issues likely to confront the officers in their career-path while serving in FBR.
FBR Chairman Tariq Mahmood Pasha along with senior Members of FBR, including Member Administration, Member (IR) Policy, Member (IR) Operations, Member Customs, attended the briefing and answered questions of the visiting officers about FBR and its working.
Later, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue Senator Haroon Akhtar Khan also spoke to the visiting officers and shared with them the government’s strategy and vision about reforming and modernizing the tax machinery and maximizing resource mobilization and revenue generation. Later, the visiting officers and faculty were presented souvenirs. A group photograph was also taken on the occasion.
