WARSAW: The trade turnover between Poland and Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year amounted to $ 24.5 million. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan Maciej Lang told today at a press conference of 24.kg news agency.
According to him, main part of it is export – $ 21.9 million. Import makes up only $ 2.6 million. Supply of chemical products, wood products, paper and board, food products, mechanical and electrical machinery, equipment and furniture dominates in the structure of exports. Kyrgyzstan exports to Poland tobacco, products and wastes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, vegetables, non precious metals items, mineral fuels and waxes.
“Kyrgyzstan is an important economic partner of Poland in Central Asia. Currently, the countries have a good dynamics of economic relations. This is confirmed by the opening of Polish missions or joint ventures in the Kyrgyz Republic. Poland is also trying to become a bridge between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union. Trade turnover between the two countries is small, but it shows the annual growth. I am convinced that both sides will be able to keep this trend. Agreement on 40 million euro for the purchase of agriculture machinery and equipment may contribute to it,” Maciej Lang said.
