TORKHAM: The Customs Station Torkham received surplus revenue of Rs77.39million during initial 15 days of October Financial Year 17-18 as all duties and taxes against the collection of 1st to 15th of September Financial Year 2017-18.
According to details explained by sources of Torkham Customs Station that, during first 15 days of October, revenue performance showed surplus against the same period of last month September FY17-18. The Torkham earned Rs412.54million of all taxes during the 1st to 15th of October FY17-18 while it did Rs235.15million under the same head during the first 15 days of September FY17-18.
During first 15 days of October, the Torkham generated Rs127.24million of Customs Duty (CD) while did Rs1.15million as miscellaneous duty surcharges whereas it got Rs1.91million of Regulatory Duty (RD). The Torkham collected Rs133.48million of revenue as Sales Tax.
During first 15 days of October FY17-18, the Torkham received Rs13.66million of ST VM on Imports while it did Rs0.42million as ST VM palm oil. The said station earned Rs111.02million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) while it did Rs37.06million as AIT Exports.
Taking about the first 15 days of September FY17-18, Sources said that, during said period, the Torkham generated Rs74.10million of CD while it did Rs2.24million as miscellaneous taxes whereas it got Rs0.40million of RD on imports while it collected Rs0.23million of Extra Development Surcharge (EDS) Pak.
During initial 15 days of September FY17-18, the Torkham Customs Station earned Rs43.75million of ST whereas it did Rs6.84million revenue as ST VM on imports. And said station generated Rs81.54million as AIT. The sources added that the Torkham received Rs23.05million of AIT on Exports during initial 15 days of September FY17-18.
Sources told CT that the Torkham got Rs233.07million of all duties and taxes during initial 15 days of August FY2017-18.
