KARACHI: Three ships CGM Maupassant, Ginga Kite and MT Quetta carrying Containers, Edible Oil and Furnace Oil took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively during last 24 hours, said a report issued by Port Qasim Authority (PQA) here on Friday.
Meanwhile six more ships with Containers, Canola Seeds, G.Cargo and Edible Oil were also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at the port is 75% on Friday where total nine ships are currently occupying berths to load/offload Container, Canola Seeds, Clinker, Furnace oil, LPG Mix, Coal and Palm Oil.
A cargo volume of 100626 tonnes, comprising 90336 tonnes import cargo and 10290 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,159 Containers (TEUs), (669 TEUs imports and 490 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.
One LNG ship, MV Aljassasiya was sailed yesterday and one Containers ship CMA Maupassant is expected to sail on Friday morning.
Three ships, MV GH Chinook, Tucapel and Prosper carrying Containers are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal on Friday.
