Taxes earned thru CM PAK’s imported consignment to compensate Rs200m shortfall

ISLAMABAD: With a great effort of Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad, a company named “CM PAK” imported a huge consignment of communication software worth Rs397million through Air Freight Unit (AFU) under the head of All Duty Taxes on 16th of June’s Financial Year 2016-17. This amount will help compensate the shortfall of Rs200million.

According to Dr. Arslan, with this huge import consignment of software, the collectorate of Islamabad has got a handsome amount of duty taxes. He said the CM PAK has paid Rs60.20million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas the software company deposited Rs242.00million of Sales Tax (ST). The above said company paid Rs93.00million of Income Tax (IT).
The Air Freight Unit (AFU) Islamabad will exceed the Customs Duty (CD) and Sales Tax (ST). The AFU Islamabad generated Rs669.00million of All Duty Taxes during the 1st June to 14th of June’s Financial Year 2016-17. The AFU has been assigned with Rs864million revenue target under the head of All Duty Taxes for the current month of June 2016-17. He said the AFU will chase its assigned target for the month of June FY2016-17.
