Tale of 29,000 lost NATO containers

KARACHI: The investigation has been started into the 29,000 missing NATO containers.
It is said that the containers were more than 200,000.
“Some influential clearing agents did not pay duty on the containers. The containers include trade products, like electronics, spare parts of cars, wine and heavy duty products in the name of NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan. These containers have been cleared from Port Qasim. National exchequer had faced a loss of Rs 20 trillion in this regard,” Customs Today learnt.
