German unemployment unexpectedly rises in sign of economic risks

BERLIN: German unemployment unexpectedly rose in September in a sign that Europe’s largest economy is not immune to risks from slowing growth in emerging markets. HELSINKI: Seasonally adjusted output of the national economy decreased by 0.5 per cent in May from the month before, according to Statistics Finland.
