SWITZERLAND: Switzerland’s unemployment rate dropped marginally in September, after remaining stable in the previous month, data from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs showed Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate edged down to 3.1 percent in September from 3.2 percent in August. Economists had expected the rate to fall to 3.0 percent. The number of unemployed decreased by 1,594 from previous month to 140,535 in September. On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate remained stable at 3.0 percent.
