COLOMBO: Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will undertake a week-long visit to Japan from April 10 – 16 on a special invitation extended to him by the government of Japan, the Prime Minister’s Office said. During this visit, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe will hold a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Prime Minister Shinzo Abe followed by several other engagements. The Government of Japan has announced that they are looking forward to the visit which they believe will serve to further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Sri Lanka.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Prof. Maithree Wickremesinghe, Minister of Special Assignments Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrema, MP Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, MP Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Athaudahetti, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Sandra Perera on this visit.
