ISLAMABAD: Spain will help Pakistan in energy sector and infrastructure development, Spanish Ambassador Javier Carbajosa said while addressing business community at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Spanish Ambassador said that despite a number of challenges, Pakistan’s geographic location is attractive for the investors. He said the establishment of Pak-China economic corridor will create vast investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Mr. Carbajosa commended the ‘investment friendly’ policies of the incumbent government and said that he’ll try to persuade his country’s investor to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan in energy and other sectors of Pakistan’s economy.
He said that tourism, agriculture and telecommunication and other areas where the two countries can enhance cooperation.
The Ambassador also emphasized the need of exchange of the business delegations of two countries to improve bilateral trade.
Muhammad Shakeel Munir, the acting president Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that Pakistan and Spain have potential for enhancing bilateral trade. He said private sectors of both countries are needed to be facilitated and encouraged for the promotion of sustainable trade and economic ties.
