KHYBER AGENCY, 09 April: Thwarting a bid to smuggle drugs from Khyber Agency into Peshawar, the security forces officials claimed to have recovered a big quantity of hashish, heroin and ice from an abandoned vehicle near Bagyari checkpost of Jamrud tehsil, Khyber Agency.
The Khyber Rifles official said on Sunday that an attempt to smuggle 114 kg hashish, two kg of crystal meth and heroin each was foiled by the soldiers of security forces at Jamrud tehsil.
The official said that on a tip-off extraordinary security measures had been taken at Bagayari checkpoint, however observing strict checking, the alleged smugglers fled the scene leaving behind them a coach. During a search, big quantities of narcotics were recovered by the troops which were hidden in the numerous cavities of the vehicle.
