SINGAPORE: Officers from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) found about S$130,400 worth of drugs in the trailer cabin of a Malaysia-registered lorry on Friday.
In a statement on Saturday, ICA said the haul was made up of about 1.4kg of heroin and 1kg of cannabis, and was discovered during routine checks after the lorry arrived and was stopped at Woodlands Checkpoint at about 2.20pm. It had been conveying a consignment of 23 pieces of pre-stressed planks.
According to ICA, a 27-year-old Malaysian driver and the seized exhibits were referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
