SIALKOT: Model Customs Collectorate Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro and Assistant Collectors Fahad Bashir Choudhay and Muhammad Hanif visited camp office located near Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to review record of rebate claims.
The officers reviewed the all record of rebate claims and checked files, which were submitted by the export-oriented firms and companies. Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro hailed the performance of the officials, including Imtiaz Cheema and Muhammad Mushtaq for facilitating the traders in their cases of refund claims.
Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Choudhary told Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set up camp office near SCCI to facilitate the exporters and customs clearing agents so they could file their rebate refund claims in minimum time.
He said that the staff rejected the objectionable files and instructed export firm or custom clearing agent concerned to submit the files after settling the objections.
The assistant collector said that the camp office is the property of the customs department, adding that a portion of the office has been occupied by a citizen named Malik Qalb e Abbas. The customs department moved the Supreme Court against the person. The SC decided case in favour of the customs. In the light of decision, the Sialkot Revenue department also issued notice to Malik Qalib to vacate property within three months.
And now, the party has filed a revision appeal in the SC where the case will be decided soon.
