KARACHI: Two ships, Million Bell and Glorious carrying coal and diesel oil were allotted berths at Pakistan International Bulk Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile two more ship CMA CGM Narvel and Grand Ace-9 carrying containers and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was managed at the port at 53% on Wednesday where a total of nine ships namely, MSC Tomoko, APL Antwerp, Logonda, Million Bell, Trade Will, Majestic Sky, Magia, Yukon Star and Glorious are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sun flower seed,s soya bean seeds, coal, phosphoric acid, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 137,507 tonnes, comprising 91,446 tonnes import cargo and 46,061 tonnes export cargo inclusive for containerized cargo carried in 2,726 containers (TEUs), (687 TEUs imports and 2,039 EUs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
