KARACHI:Three ships, MSC Tomoko, Maritime Suzanne and Bani Yas carrying Containers, Palm oil and Diesel oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTOC Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile four more ships, Melati-6, Pike, Clarice and Al-Nouman with Palm oil, Diesel oil Chemicals and LNG also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of seven ships were occupying PQA berths to load/offload containers, coal, canola seeds, LNG, Palm Kernel, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively.
Out of them, — gas carrier ‘Flex Ranger’ sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, and another ship, Bulk cargo carrier ‘Medi Serapo’ is expected to sail on the same day in the afternoon.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 122,516 tonnes, comprising 107,278 tonnes imports cargo and 15,238 tonnes export cargo in 2,516 containers (TEUs), (17,141 TEUs imports and 802 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.
Five ships, MOL Grandeur, Xin Hua, Bulk Titan, Clarice and Al-Nouman carrying container, seeds, coal, chemicals and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT FAP, PIBT, EVTL and EETL respectively on Wednesday. While two more container vessels “CMA CGM Al-Maviva and Hugo Schulte’ are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
