QUETTA: Delay in inquiries of martyred Deputy Collector Preventive Abdul Qadoos Sheikh caused anxiety in employees of Customs Preventive.
Chief Collector Customs Balochistan Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry has said that the Pakistan Customs always deeply remembered its senior colleagues and martyrs. He was talking at condolence reference organized here at the Customs House Quetta which was attended by Collector Customs Quetta Preventive Iftikhar Ahmed, Collector Customs Appraisement Quetta Raza Baloch, Collector Gwadar Yacoob Mako along with other senior officers and staff.
On this occasion Superintendent of Customs Haji Yusuf, who was killed in an accident near Saranan a few days ago, he was counted among the most senior officers of Quetta and considered an honest officer. Pakistan Customs shared its grief with his family.
In addition, condolences were also given to the late Shaheed Deputy Collector Customs Quetta Dr. Abdul Qudos Sheikh. The Chief Collector said that the departmental services of Qudoos will always be remembered while on behalf of the Balochistan Customs, he thanked the President of Pakistan for announcement of medal of courage for the martyred customs officer.
The sources of MCC Quetta told Customs Today that the President of Pakistan awarded Tamgha-e-Shujaat for his unparalleled bravery and sacrifice during duty. Shaheed Dr Abdul Qudoos Sheikh was martyred on his return from a check post in Quetta after a successful operation in July 2019 when he was attacked. In this regard, under supervision of the Chief Minister Balochistan an inquiry was conducted by the Special Investigation Committee but Customs executive and staff of class four was not satisfied with progress and speed of the inquiry.
