KARACHI: Seminar on implementing strategy of the MoU between law department and German Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GPCCI) took place at Sindh assembly building here. Minister for Law and Prisons Zia-Ul-Hasan Lanjar chaired the seminar along with Secretary Law Iftikhar Shalwani, said a statement on Wednesday.
Special guests Counsel General and Deputy Head of Mission German Consulate, Carsten Mueller, President GPCCI Qazi Sajjid Ali and others were also present.
Minister Law Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar said in his speech that it’s great initiative between GPCCI and law dept and MOU to achieve legislation on promoting small domestic enterprises leading towards the elimination of child labour, female capacity building in public and private sector.
Talking to seminar delegations Secretary Law Iftikhar Shalwani said that its timely initiative to launch the implementation strategy for the MoU Signed between Law department and GPCCI.
Sindh is not lagging behind in legislation, we have capacity constraints and communication gap, he said.
Less technologically advanced countries may logically prefer to promote the transfer of technologies needed for development and to preserve and enhance competition in order to secure access to goods, services and technologies on the most favorable market terms, he added.
At the eve of MoU, Carsten Mueller said that this MoU will have multiple benefits for the both the countries, he said that we will keep our coordination with law department.
Developing countries will be most successful in meeting their own needs if they are able to draw on varied experience of national systems worldwide, which means that a good knowledge of comparative law is valuable, he added.
Qazi Sajid Ali in his views said that this is remarkable MoU Javed Jabar, Qazi Khalid from ZABIST university, Ms Rehman from Aurat Foundation were among the speakers.
Large number of officers were among the audience moreover first news letter of law department was also launched.
