ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has issued notices in an appeal filed by Pakistan Customs against Mumtaz Ghani Textiles (Private) Limited.
According to the details, a three member bench comprising Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the case and suspended the orders passed by the Sindh High Court.
Earlier, the SHC ordered Pakistan Customs to issue the refund claim amounting to Rs 1.5 billion along with interest at the bank rate within four weeks of the order.
The SHC also upheld the decision by the Custom Appellate Tribunal. The importer has claimed refunds on the import of surgical gloves.
