KARACHI: The State bank of Pakistan, on the request of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), has frozen the bank accounts of former president Pervez Musharraf and sealed his property.
According to the sources, the FBR requested the SBP to freeze the bank accounts of the former president. The sources also informed that the on the request of the FBR, the State Bank has taken such an action that the former president will not be able to sell or purchase his property nor will he be able to use bank accounts across the country.
The initiative by the FBR has been taken on the orders of a special court which, during the hearing of a treason case against the former president on July 19, ordered to freeze the bank accounts and confiscate his property.
