KARACHI: Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Chairperson Naheed Memon has urged businessmen and chambers of commerce to form ‘venture capitalist’ platform for extending financial assistance to launch small businesses.
In her keynote address at a seminar on “The Entrepreneurial Challenges” at the Institute of Business Administration here, she said chambers of commerce can play a significant role to help small businessmen become self-reliant, said a statement on Wednesday.
The SBI chairperson said the Sindh government and the SBI will extend every possible help to businessmen and chambers of commerce in forming venture capitalist platform. The seminar was largely attended by faculty members and students of the IBA.
