KARACHI: Chairperson Sindh Board of Investment (SBI), Naheed Memon has suggested that all those business which were not hazardous for the environment be exempted from the No Objection Certificate (NOC), from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The step would help the potential businessmen of such businesses which are not hazardous for environment to obtain construction permit without consuming time for obtaining NOC in advance from the EPA, she said.
The SBI chairperson said this while talking to the Sindh Secretary Environment, Baqaullah Unar in his office here, said a statement.
She also informed the Secretary Environment about the steps which are being taken by the Sindh Investment Climate Improvement Cell (SICIC), to simplify the procedures of launching new business setups with ease.
Talking to the head of the SBI, the Secretary Environment said that the notification with regard to the steps which will lead to ease in doing business to facilitate the business community will be issued soon after consultation with the concerned quarters.
