RIYADH: Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, plans to maintain its crude oil shipments in January at 6.9 million barrels per day, an industry source familiar with the kingdom’s exports plans told Reuters. Oil demand is “robust and healthy” particularly in Asia, the source said.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and non-OPEC producers led by Russia agreed last month to extend oil output cuts until the end of 2018 as they try to clear a global oil glut while signaling a possible early exit from the deal if the market overheats.
