RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced on Friday to allow hiring domestic workers in foreign investments, local Okaz online news reported.
The decision, taken jointly by the Labor and Social Development Ministry and the General Investment Authority, would allow foreign investors to open employment agencies to offer full and part time jobs to domestic workers.
The spokesperson of the ministry, Khalid Aba Al Khail, said the attraction of foreign investors to the sector would improve competitiveness and provide appropriate and various options to the clients.
The decision would cover foreign companies with no less than three years’ experience in the field to attract trustworthy and developed employment agencies.
