FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani has decided to take stern action against those employees who are absent during duty hours and served explanation letters to over 6 latecomer officers and staff.
Sources told Customs Today, that assistant collector has decided to take strict disciplinary action against those employees who are still absent from their duties after the clear directions from the Collector Muhammad Sadiq.
Customs operations are disturbed very badly due to non availability of substitute for the accomplishment of their assigned task.
Collector Muhammad Sadiq has directed Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani to present report against those employees who are still absent from their duties. It is learnt that few employees of Customs Collectorate are still absent from their duties and also ignoring the clear cut instructions of the collector and Federal Board of Revenue.
Strict action is possible against those employees who are not attending their duties without any reason is Masood Afzal Lodhi Superintendent, Inspector Mian Afzal Naeem Rebate branch, Ms. Ayesha Naeem, Appraiser Ms. Maryam Altaf, Inspector DTRE branch, Ms. Asma Iqbal and also others employees. Collector also checked the attendance register in this regard to ensure their presence at the duties.
All those employees who are absent from their duties are informed to report for duty, failing which disciplinary action shall be initiated against you under Government Servant Rules 1973.
The Federal Board of Revenue also issued strict guidelines against those employees who are absent from their duties and their casual leaves were also considered cancel in order to maintain full attendance at the Customs House.
