MULTAN: Saim Mobeen (SM) Food Maker Company mis- declaration case of imported Steel Iron rods was adjourned by the Collector Adjudication Customs till November 6.
The company was allegedly involved in the case of mis-declaration of their imported Steel Iron Rods used in the baking of their biscuits. The company had moved an application for the verification of invoices with original invoices from the Karachi Port Qasim provided by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation in the Customs Adjudication.
The invoices recovered by Customs Intelligence and Investigation will be matched with the invoices presented at the Karachi Port Qasim for clearance of their goods declaration. The owner Zulfiqar Anjum and manager Waseem Shehzad had been facing a case of mis-declaration in the import of Steel Iron Rods imported from Austria. Saim Mobeen (S.M) Food Maker Company had evaded the custom duty of Rs 4.7 million through mis-declaration of their imported goods by presenting invoice of 12700 Euro instead of 127000 Euro. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation registered a case against them and seized their goods.
Both owner Chaudhry Zulfiqar Anjum and Manager Waseem Shehzad had got bail on the submission of principal amount of Rs 4.7 million in the Special Court Customs Lahore. Collector Adjudication Customs Saleem Ahmad Ranjha will decide their case of mis- declaration.
