MOSCOW : Trade between Russia and the United States has grown by 9.8 percent to $15.8 billion in January-August in comparison to the same period last year, the Russian Federal Customs Service’s data showed on Friday.
During the given period, Russia’s exports to the United States went up by 11.9 percent to $7.3 billion, while imports saw an 8-percent year-on-year increase, totaling o $8.6 billion.
The US share in the Russian external trade dropped by 0.3 percent to 3.6 percent in January-August.
Trade has seen an increase despite escalated tensions and mutual sanctions between the two states.
