MOSCOW: In January-August 2017, Russian plywood exports went down in volume terms over the respective period of the last year, indicate the statistics published by the Russian Federal Customs Office. Thus, according to the latest data, in January-August Russian plywood export volume decreased to 1.666 million m3. That is 0.84% less than in the respective period of the last year.
The total value of the Russian plywood exported in January-August 2017 came up to $726 million and grew by 14.96% year-on-year. In January-August 2017, Russia exported 1.509 million m3 of plywood to the non-CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries. The value of the exported plywood came up to $667.8 million. Exports to CIS came up to just 157,300 m3 in volume terms and $58.1 in value terms.
