ISLAMABAD: The Regional Tax Office-III (RTO-III) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 209 billion under the head of different taxes during January while Rs 171 billion were collected during the same period of the previous year.
Additional Commissioner RTO-III Safdar Khan told Customs Today that FBR set revenue target of Rs 204 billion for January but Rs 209 billion were collected. He also disclosed that the RTO collected Rs 1594 billion during the first seven months of the current fiscal year. He said that due to decrease in oil prices in international market “we will definitely achieve our revenue target”.
On the other hand, the FBR hass already started a campaign urging traders to get maximum benefits of the tax amnesty scheme announced by the government. Different teams are formed in this regard to make interaction with traders community.
