LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-I has claimed that two cheaque submitted by two steel mills owners have been bounced.
According to details, Irfan Steel Industries and Irfan Brothers were involved in tax defaulting of millions of rupees and the authorities concerned pursued them to clear their outstanding dues. The steel mills submitted cheques in the Regional Tax Office-I. Irfan Industries presented a cheque of Rs 5.1 million while Irfan Brothers presented a cheque of s 16.1 million.
When the Regional Tax Office presented the cheques in the prescribed banks, but the cheques were bounced.
The RTO has decided to take action against both tax defaulters and filed FIRs against both steel mills owners.
