LAHORE: In compliance with the instructions of Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office Tasneem Rehman and Commissioner Inland Revenue, Zone-VI, RTO, Syed Mehmood H. Jafri, various teams have been constituted to create awareness about the tax amnesty scheme.
The teams visited Hall Road, Anarkali, Beadon Road, McLeod Road, Chamberlain Road and Brandreth Road and held meetings with the trade bodies. During the meeting, all the advantages of the scheme were explained by the official teams. They traders were informed that the names of those traders will be included in the ATL and tax rates on the banking transactions, purchase of moveable and immoveable properties will be reduced. Audit of such cases will not be conducted for four years and the traders will be exempted from filing wealth statements.
The traders warmly welcomed the scheme and promised that they will avail full advantage of the said scheme and will make it successful. At the last of the meeting Commissioner Inland Revenue, Syed Mahmood Hussain Jafri replied all the queries raised by the traders regarding the scheme in detail. The traders hoped that the scheme will be proved a mile stone for the prosperity and development of the country.
