KIEV: Risoil Terminal LLC, which operates grain and bulk cargo handling terminal in the Black Sea port, plans to handle 7 MMT of cargo in the 2017/18 marketing year, including 5 MMT of grain, 1 MMT of meal and 1 MMT of oil, reports UkrAgroConsult.
According to the head of Risoil S.A. Shota Khadzhishvili, in the new season the company intends to complete construction of the terminal in Chernomorsk port. “It should possess its own pier, possibility of receiving 350 rail cars per day and loading ships with 50-60 KMT per day. Elevator capacity is planned to be increased to 300 KMT.”
Current storage capacity is 200 KMT of commodities at a time. There are 13 storage bins with a capacity 8.5 KMT each and a warehouse (40 KMT). Another warehouse for 40 KMT will be put into operation in the next month.
Moreover, the company plans to build its own railway station and expects a development of river cargo transportation.
