The dynamics of regional cooperation has a wider role to play for peace, development and cooperation in the world especially in the context of South Asia. Intra-regional cooperation creates catalytic impact in addressing the recent challenges of poverty, development and terrorism. Regional cooperation involves policy coordination through formal institutions for the welfare and to achieve collective vision for the development of the region.
In the context of Afghanistan, regional cooperations like the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is one of positive ways to strengthen the economic growth and stability in a situation when the country is inflamed by constant insurgency.
