RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Zahid Latif Khan has lauded Punjab Government for imposing Section 4 of the Punjab Land Acquisition Rules 1983 in Rawat Industrial Estate Rawat. Section 4 entitles the government to procure private land for public interest project.
While addressing traders’ meeting at Chamber house he appreciated Commissioner Rawalpindi Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry efforts to resolve issues faced by traders and industrialists at Rawat Industrial Estate. The link road will be constructed which will connect the industrial estate to GT road and also this will help industrialists to add more units in the area. This will ultimately generate more employment opportunities, he added.
RCCI Chief said that Commissioner informed that final plan for decade old Ring Road project has been forwarded to Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA). Multi-donor financial agencies and institutes have shown interest in this regard and we are hopeful that this project will be completed in time.
He said RCCI has approached Commissioner Rawalpindi time and time and provided recommendations to improve the traffic, law and order and civic facilities in the city. The ultimate goal is to increase smooth trade activities in the region and RCCI has been striving to get maximum facilities for traders and industrialists, he added.
Senior Vice President Nasir Mirza, Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, former presidents, member of the executive committee, among others, were also present on the occasion.
