MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate Multan Collector Dr. Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich has decided to file the review appeal against Order-in-Original in Q-mobile mis-declaration case, passed be Customs Adjudication-I, in Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Multan bench.
According to details, Collector Customs Adjudication-I has disposed of the Q-mobile tax evasion, amounting to Rs 772 million, case on technical grounds that the Multan region is not authorised to constitute the case against the accused, as the consignments were not cleared through the Multan collectorate.
Adjudication-I Collector Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi issued the Order-In-Original No. 441/2014-15 with registering No. 143/2014.
The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan sought permission from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for filing the appeal against the Order-In-Original issued in the said case and now the FBR has granted permission to file the appeal in LHC.
Custom officials informed that evidence, which the Multan Customs has pertaining to the case were valid, adding that the defence counsel has also admitted the allegations, imposed by customs before the adjudication officials as it is mention in the ONO.
