LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department’s motor branch has seized documents of 141 defaulter and unregistered vehicles during road checking.
According to motor branch officials, special teams checked hundreds of vehicles in different areas of the city and seized documents of 141 vehicles. The department has formed different teams to check the vehicles which are not registered and are token tax defaulters. They added that excise teams have been increased from eight to ten.
The department had extended deadline for submission of token tax up to December 31.
In one week the teams established special check points at Wapda Town, Model Town, Faisal Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road and Ravi Road.
