LAHORE: The Punjab Board of Revenue has collected Rs 239 million under the head of agriculture income tax against the target of Rs 766.6 million during the first four months of the current fiscal year.
As per details, the board is facing a shortfall of Rs 527.5 million that is 68.81 percent of the target. The Punjab government has assigned a target of Rs 2.3 billion to the department for the current fiscal year.
It may mention here that it collected Rs 61.6 million against the target of Rs 670 million during the last fiscal year 2014-15. It is also seemed that the revenue board would not achieve its target.
