ISLAMABAD: The board of directors of the Pakistan Revenue Automation (Private) Limited (PRAL) has approved the payment of Rs 4 billion to legal advisors who provided services in M/s Agility in International Court of Justice.
Sources told Customs Today that Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Nisar Mohammad Khan presided over a meeting and approved the payment 75,000 pounds to British Firm M/s Black Stone Council, 1,50,000 pounds to M/s. Queen Council and 14,980 pounds to Eirik Bjorge of Jesus College Oxford.
The meeting also approved payment of Rs 2,500,000 to a Pakistani legal firm M/s Samdani and Qureshi. Sources said that the FBR spent this entire amount on legal services for the International Court of Justice.
It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR had already filed a plea in the International Court of Justice for reimbursement of all charges which occurred on pursuance of M/s Agility case.
