LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has decided to broaden its network in Faisalabad and has shortlisted 70 restaurants to bring them into the network in coming days.
Sources told Customs Today that the PRA has checked almost 70 restaurants in posh areas of that city which are providing expensive food to citizens and are earning millions of rupees but not registered for the sales tax.
These restaurants will increase the revenue of the authority in coming days as it has already increased in past two years. Restaurant invoice monitoring system will be installed in all restaurants that are providing services in posh areas of Faisalabad.
Meanwhile PRA has also started crackdown against restaurants that are failed to submit their taxes despite receiving notices.
